About Home-Start Angus

Being a parent wherever you live, whatever your circumstances, isn't always easy. Add in pressures such as illness or financial worries, and without the support of family or friends the stress can seem overwhelming.

Home-Start Angus is one of a large national network of Home-Start schemes.

We offer a unique service, recruiting and training volunteers – who are usually parents themselves – to visit families at home who have at least one child under 5 to offer informal, friendly and confidential support.

Many volunteers have used the experience gained through Home-Start Angus to access further education and paid employment.

Many parents who have used our service are now helping other families as Home-Start volunteers.

We are a registered charity and we are extremely grateful for any donations which enable us to continue supporting young families in Angus.

"Since Home-Start Angus was launched in 1994, we have made a difference to the lives of over 1000 young families in Angus. I have a great sense of pride and achievement in our organisation."

William Muir, Chairperson, Board of Trustees
