Fundraising Events
Home-Start Angus is responsible for raising all the funds required to run our family support service. There are various ways in which you can help contribute financially to our charity:
We are always happy to offer help and support to individuals or companies looking to hold fundraising events on our behalf. From tea parties to quiz nights to sponsored walks, there are many ways to raise funds to support our work. Home-Start Angus depends heavily on donations to fund its work with parents and children. Everyone needs help at some time in their life…..so please, help us to make a difference to a child’s life today.
The following donations would enable us to:
- £10 – would pay for snacks for all children/adults attending one of our weekly family groups
- £20 – would provide a family of 5 with gas/electricity to heat their home for a week
- £50 – would allow us to purchase sensory toys to ensure our children with additional support needs have opportunities to play, learn and develop
- £100 – would allow us to recruit and train 4 new volunteers who would in turn provide emotional and practical help to 8 families over 1 year
- £500 – would pay for volunteer-led family support for a family of 4 for 4 months through weekly home-visits
- £2,500 – would allow us to provide a food hamper at Christmas to every family registered with us
Corporate Sponsorship
Corporate sponsorship can bring many benefits to a company and even small donations can make a big difference to our scheme. If your company would like to contribute to the work of Home-Start Angus we would love to hear from you! We would also be happy to come and speak to your staff about the role we play and how they could help. In the past, companies have sponsored special events such as our Christmas parties, or our summer trips, or they have made an unrestricted donation which we put towards our core work. Easyfundraising
Shop Online and Raise Money for Home-Start Angus!
Have you heard about easyfundraising yet? It’s the easiest way to help raise money for Home-Start Angus! If you already shop online with retailers such as Amazon, M&S, Argos, John Lewis, Comet, Vodafone, eBay, Boden and Play.com, then we need you to sign up for free to raise money while you shop!
So how does it work?
You shop directly with the retailer as you would normally, but if you sign up to our account for free and use the links on the easyfundraising site to take you to the retailer, then a percentage of whatever you spend comes directly to us at no extra cost to yourself.
How much can you raise?
Spend £100 with M&S online or Amazon and you raise £2.50 for us. £100 with WH Smith puts £2.00 in our pocket and so on. There’s over 2,000 retailers on their site, and some of the donations can be as much as 15% of your purchase.
