Volunteering
There are several ways that you can help Home-Start Angus in a voluntary capacity:
- by supporting a family as a home-visiting volunteer
- by supporting the running of our family groups
- by joining the Trustee Board
- by helping with fundraising
Home Visiting Volunteers
Home-Start Angus’s home-visiting volunteers come from many different backgrounds and vary in age but all are either parents themselves or have parenting experience and are carefully selected for their friendliness and understanding. All volunteers attend a preparation course before being matched with a family. They then take their own individual skills and experience to the families they visit. Our volunteers offer their time and friendship and accept a parent as they are.
Our team of 40 home visiting volunteers in Angus offer regular support to families who welcome a helping hand during a difficult time. Do you have..

Training Course
All our home visiting volunteers complete our initial course of preparation. We run courses right across Angus. Find out when our next course is by visiting our latest news page. All your out of pocket expenses will be met both during your training and once you are an approved volunteer with us.

Management Committee
We need another kind of volunteer – trustees. Trustees are men and women who help guide Home-Start Angus and contribute to our leadership and direction so our staff team can manage day to day operations and our home visiting volunteers can get on with the job of supporting families.
